New RS trinket feeds my armor fetish
Check out the Petrified Twilight Scale from Ruby Sanctum. 2282 armor plus a free Last Stand-ish effect in the Ardent Defender range. Hot damn.
That puts it at 490 more armor than Glyph of Indomitability, 392 more than the normal Unidentifiable Organ, and 154 more than the heroic UO. The effect is pretty sexy for progression content, or something like Soul Reaper. And, ultimately, you really can’t sneeze at that much armor.
I will be seeking this trinket in earnest, if only to feed that gaping maw in my soul that can only be sated by bonus armor.
What about http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2010/may/item_54571.jpg ?

That’s really weird, the mmo-champ database has the effect as +health.
It’s way too early to know anything for sure. Differences in 10 vs 25 vs normal vs heroic. All I know is http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2010/may/item_54573.jpg will be MINE!!!

I agree very sexy trinket, more so with the health effect.
I felt the same way to my first thought when I saw it was “Soul Reaper”

I agree with Joe, his link seems to be more likely to be the final iteration of the trinket, if and only if the version you linked, Rhidach, doesn’t say that the trinket shares a cooldown with Battlemaster’s and other such trinkets…
Can you imagine a double proc of this and heroic Juggernaut’s? An extra 10k health would be a godsend in certain situations, and quite overpowered in others.
Maybe it’s just something they’ve yet to add to the text of the trinket, who knows.
Oh, and grats on your trinket from Sindragosa! Keep that baby for HM Sindra, my other tank has it and he loves it.
While it’s a great trinket for certain applications, don’t fall in love with it for the wrong fights. This is not a trinket for the Lich King fight, nor Sindragosa, nor Lady Deathwhisper. It’s strong in the rest of ICC, where armor is exceedingly awesome.
The proc effect is not especially helpful at soul reaper, considering you’re worried about burst that will 100-0 you, and therefore need a strong cooldown plan. Given how hard LK hits, it’s not even especially likely that the proc will be available when Soul Reaper hits.
Sindragosa’s trinket, on the other hand, is just raw hotness for Soul Reaper, and I wish that damn dragon would start coughing them up.
I’m curious – being one of only two tanks in my guild who has NOT seen Lich King yet (the 10 man team I was on really blows at anything resembling coordination), so I have to ask – just what kind of damage is Soul Reaper? I was under the impression it was physical, which would actually make this trinket attractive, but I assume it’s not? Is it shadow? Or one of the new mixtures of damage types that seems to be running rampant this expansion?
Soul Reaper’s intial application happens at the same time as a melee swing, and is 50% weapon damage as Shadowstrike. LK’s melee swings in 10s are ~60k raw, in 10H they’re ~100k raw, in 25N they’re ~100k raw, and in 25H they’re ~160k raw, so depending on content you’re looking at between 30 and 80k (pre mitigation) Shadowstrike damage at the same time as a 15-40k (post mitigation) melee hit.
But wait, there’s more: 5 seconds later, you’re going to get hit with 50, 60, or 70k Shadowstrike damage (pre mitigation, you’ll be amazed how much you love that 20% magic damage reduction on this fight) – again, basically at the same time as a melee swing – and Arthas gains a 100% haste buff for 5 seconds.
So, in normal modes, Arthas qualifies as bursty. In heroic, the words “fine red mist” come to mind. He hits you so hard he won’t even leave giblets.
:S
733 dodge rating…
Shame is isn’t an on use trinket.

I’ll fight you for that trinket.
Oh wait…. YOU REALLY NEED TO COMPETE WITH ME NOW! Ha ha!
Luckily I have a history of giving things to my MT when I feel like him having the gear benefits his, my, and the raid’s survivability.
Of course, I also have a history of doing evil things like stealing particularly nice pieces of gear first and tricking my MT into calling bloodlust at the wrong time…….
Start saving the DKP. :P
