EZ Mode XT-002

So, am I the only one who just found out this week that you can totally trivialize the Deconstructor fight by tanking him between two piles on either the east or west wall?

I read this somewhere (maybe Wowhead?) and proposed it Tuesday, and boy did it work wonders. The two piles its between will never spawn adds, so Scrapbots had so far to go they never made it to the boss. I had plenty of time to grab the large bots before they went after the healers, and the ranged dps had plenty of time to nuke the bomb bots from afar.

Is this intentional on Blizzard’s part? Seems way too easy to not be a bug.

    I noticed this in my new guild Exiled Humanity’s run on Kalecgos.

    I was wondering why they were tanking to the wall on one side. Weren’t they worried that the bots spawning will heal boss ?

    Then when the time came, surprise surprise no bots appeared on one side of the room !!!

    It’s made crowd control for the tank and aoe dps so much easier :D

    But this doesn’t feel like what Blizz may have intended i would think :/ Doing the normal way isn’t too hard. I normally pull boss to one side then back to the other depending on which side has more robots closest to the boss.

    Tried it last night on 10 man: New record.

    I actually had to yell the DPS to stop attacking the heart because they had it at under 5% on the 2nd heart drop because they had so much more time to DPS it without worrying too much about adds, and we didnt actually have the dps for a Hard mode (If it had been on the 1st drop i would have screamed: “KILL THE BIATCH RAWR!”

    I actually posted on the official forums, trying to find out if this was intentional/accepted or an exploit.

    Naturally, the discussion doesn’t stay on topic for long, but it *seems* that most folks think it is not an exploit, since you don’t gain an encounter-breaking advantage; however, I would expect to see this tweaked in a future patch, personally.

    Of Course Rhi, the MASSIVE DPS in our/your group helps :)
