GC: New cooldown for tankadins coming

We’re not going to give paladins a warmed over version of Last Stand. We do recognize that they need another cooldown. Our plan is for something slightly different.

There is hope.

I’d actually prefer something unique than further homogenization of the tanking classes, so this is very good news.

    i think if boss abilities are being designed around other tank’s CDs, i very much welcome pally tanks having one more trick in their arsenal.

    @Rhidach: gimme an example of something “Unique” you would like to see as a tanking Cooldown for us, that WON’T be considered OP by th other tanking classes (looking at you Warriors, I know you don’t tank anymore because your armor got rusty fom all those salty tears)

    Logan is exactly right. People (i.e. warriors) are already QQ’ing that we’d get another CD when they don’t have AD. I’m extremely thankful that (at the least) Blizzard recognizes that we need another.

    yup, I know the Warrior Pain seeing all or most of your “OH SHIIIIIIIIIT!” buttons be given to all the other tranking classes ( I tanked as Warrior on BC), but the thing is that they still have a LOT of them ( I actually couldn’t stand all the Heroic strike Spam, and wrist twsiting of target swapping), but they need to realize that their prot spec is now a very different talent tree, more versatile, and quite powerful on itself, with very respectable dmg output, with a HUGE ammount of survivavility, and AD isn’t a CD on itself, its just a passive ability that can be leapfrogged by HUGE boss hits (like most bosses nowadays) and ATM, i can get 2 CDs (Bubblewalla and Hand of Salvation) plus my dodge trinket and the mini last stand of my other trinket (cant remember the name, but it is the one from naxx =P), so it demands a very strict “rotation”

    @Logan: Repelling Charge?

    As for a CD idea… All I can think of is either (1) change glyph to remove threat reduction from Hand of Salv and boost absorbed to 30%, (2) new talent to make Hand of Sac self-castable and absorbs 30% of inc damage.

    Both are kind of “blah” and I’m hoping for something really out of the box. The big key is it needs to reduce all damage, not just be a boost to BV, because that won’t help us on magical fights.

    HUmm as far as I remember, both Hand of Salvation (Glyphed of course), and hand of Sacrifice reduce “All” incoming damage, but yeah, its kinda depressing to get the same old, same old “reduce dmg taken by X%”, i would rather have something like a spell reflect (Yeah, i miss that), I mean, we have a shield too, and we are Blocking machines AND MANA USERS, why cant we use the board to reflect spells?
