I started this site as a way to write about paladin tanking and force my views of recent WoW news upon an unwitting public.

The Player

I’m a 24 year old Boston-area guy currently working in the technology publishing industry as an editor. I’ve been playing WoW off and on since launch way about in 2004, first as a Troll Hunter, and now (since 2007) as a Blood Elf Pally.

The Toon

My main is Rhidach, a Blood Elf Paladin on the Lightninghoof-US server. Currently and forever specced Protection. This blog is partly the story of his “adventures” in the game we all love.

I made up the word “rhidach” from jumbling around the Irish Gaelic word for knight, “ridire”. It is pronounced “rid-ik” (like, the “Chronicles of Riddick”), but I’ve heard people call me anything from “red-itch” to “ree-datchy” to “ry-dak”.
