Word of the day: Trickle-down death
Main Entry: trick·le-down death
Function: Noun
: A death that happens slowly, with an intermittent stream of damage that adds up to more damage taken over a period of time than healing received in the same period. Requires a longer time frame to finally kill the tank (more than a few seconds). Trickle-down deaths can be ameliorated with increased mitigation (armor mostly), and avoidance. Common in Icecrown Citadel.
Antonym: The Ulduar Splat

Funny I died from that last night in VoA. I got literally 0 heals and the other tank did not taunt until I went splat. With all that and cycling cooldowns I lasted quite a bit and got to 15 debuffs, before AD could save me no more.
Tijeras’s last blog ..Protadin: @anafielle I let him thank the capt guy who has the annoying stun all the time ;)
Main Entry: Ulduar splat [uhl-d??-ahr splat]
Function: noun
: When your tank gets “insta-gibbed” by the ridiculously spiky damage contained within the Titan complex known as Ulduar. Such an occasion is usually met with frazzled sighs from both tanks and healers alike.
