5% faster, higher, strong

What is Hellscream’s Warsong? I like to imagine he’s yelling out the Olympics anthem for us. I know that would inspire me to give 105%.

Last night was probably our best night ever on Putricide. One attempt we got him to 9%. Another, our best attempt, we had him at 4%. And that was with us going into P3 with 3 dps dead. If those three were up, it would have been lights out for the good doctor.

After all this time and all the struggling, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I think our biggest problem is the strat allows for too much raid damage. We currently camp on the green side at all times, so we eat 2-3 green slime explosions each time one is up. That gives a lot of room for error for someone to get targeted and destroyed with others no having the time to stack on them. I think we can fix that issue with a strategy tweak…

Sidenote: sorry for the light posting this week. I’ve been swamped at work. I’ll be traveling to Orlando in two weeks, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I have a feeling the guild is getting back on track. Attendance is a lot better, buoyed by new recruits, and nothing would improve guild morale more than finally dropping that malodorous malpracticer.

And if part of our victory is due to a 5% buff… so be it. I’ll take the kill without reservations.

I feel for ya! Here’s hoping you take his ass down this week.

My guild’s progression this week is hampered by a lack of one of their two ICC geared tanks… me. Combination of my GM saying “take a fucking break!!” and tons of work.

Although, being the unrepentant wow addict that I am, I knew they’d have trouble in later ICC without me and logged on last night in time to join the guild for Festergut!

Who we downed. In a grossly unsatisfying manner (I was 15th on DPS…. first tank), but damnit, he died for the first time ever.

Glad to hear the recruiting has worked out for you! Here’s hoping it works out for my guild, too. :)

Here’s to you and your guild downing that malo… maldr… doctor guy this week!

I tanked that fight once in 10m (successfully) and once in 25m (unsuccessfully). We kited between under the orange vat and his desk, basically. Seems to work fine until people get lazy and don’t switch or aren’t paying attention.

We’ve had some attendance issues too lately (including myself… stupid quantum mechanics), so I feel for ya.

By the way, I just started using Google Analytics because of your Friday posts, and wow, that’s pretty frickin’ sweet. I dunno how I got by without it.

Analytics is awesome. I barely really understand how to do all the little do-dads and how to drill down as effectively as I could be. I need to figure that stuff out, it’ll help a lot I think.

Quantum mechanics is the worst. “And it’s a quantum finish!” “Not fair, he changed the outcome of the race by measuring it!”

We gave it one go, last week, with the camping under green strat. We pushed into phase 2 pretty well, but the RNG is vicious and we are too likely to lose people to green slimes that close. Camping by the desk is an option to consider.

I’m still excited we rescued Dreamwalker last night. I’m not sure I still like that fight. Big numbers would be fun if I could look at them but I’m too busy keeping up Beacon, Judgement haste, and chasing down orbs in the swimming pool. I guess now I know what it was like for the DPS when we were hitting enrage on Festergut.
